How to change the ignition coils on a Golf MK5

Let's see how to change the coils on a Volkswagen MK5: open the bonnet and disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the engine cover and locate the ignition coils. For each coil, disconnect the electrical connector; unplug the spark plug wire and remove the old coils by unscrewing the 10mm screw that secures the coil. Pull it out upwards: it may resist due to the seal at the bottom. Spray a bit of contact cleaner in the spark plug housing and then install the new coils. Insert the new coil, put in the securing screw, reconnect the spark plug wire and the electrical connector; repeat for the other coils, reassemble the engine cover, and reconnect the negative battery cable.
