How to Replace the Diesel Filter on a Mitsubishi Outlander

Part: Diesel fuel filter

First, identify where the diesel filter is located; it is inside the fuel tank. To access it, lift the mat in the boot and find a grey panel sealed with a silicone gasket. Remove it and disconnect the feed and return pipes as well as the electrical plugs. Now, unscrew the bolts on the circular ring of the tank cap and extract the diesel filter. Finally, install the new filter and reassemble everything.
