How to change the spark plugs of a Nissan Micra K11

Let's see how to change the spark plugs on a Nissan Micra K11: for safety, disconnect the battery, then locate the spark plugs in the center of the engine. You will see four thick cables that come from the spark plug and go into as many wells. Clean the area with a brush to prevent dirt from getting into the spark plug wells. Unscrew the central coil (which is on many K11s) fixed with two or three bolts, then remove the spark plug cables (if there are single coils): insert the extension with the 21 mm socket into the first spark plug well, unscrewing counterclockwise, pull it out, using a magnetic clamp and repeat for the others. Insert the new spark plugs by hand to avoid damaging the threading, then tighten with the key but without using too much force; excessive tightening is very dangerous. Put the coil (or coils) back in place and reconnect the battery. Do a test by restarting the engine, which should start without hesitation. If the engine shakes or does not start, turn everything off and check that you have properly reconnected all the coil cables. It's the most common mistake.
