How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Nissan Qashqai

To replace the engine oil and filter in a Nissan Qashqai, you need to bring the engine to operating temperature, then turn it off and safely lift the vehicle. After removing the filler cap, place a container under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug, allowing the used oil to completely drain out. Next, remove the old oil filter and install the new one, pre-lubricating the gasket with a small amount of clean oil. Then, reattach the drain plug, preferably with a new gasket, and fill the engine with oil of the specified type and quantity for your engine. Finally, start the engine for a few seconds, check for any leaks, and after waiting a few minutes, check the oil level and top up if necessary.
