How to Change Engine Oil and Filter in a Nissan Qashqai

To change the engine oil and filter in a Nissan Qashqai, warm up the engine for a few minutes, then turn it off and lift the vehicle. Place a container under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug to let the used oil flow out completely. Once drained, re-screw the plug, tightening it properly. Locate the oil filter, usually positioned at the bottom of the engine. Unscrew it with an oil filter wrench and remove it. Before fitting the new filter, lubricate the seal with a bit of clean oil and screw it in by hand until tight. Open the oil filler cap on the engine and pour in the amount of oil specified for your engine. Start the engine for a few seconds, then turn it off and check the level with the dipstick, adding oil if necessary.
