How to Remove the Rear Bumper of a Nissan Note

Let's see how to remove the rear bumper of a Nissan Note: start by removing the screws underneath the bumper. There are 3 screws per side in the rear wheel arch (2 visible and one further in). In the wheel arch, there are push clips that can be removed by pressing in the centre with a thin object; they are often stuck due to dirt, so patience is required. Inside each wheel arch, behind the plastic wing, there are two 10 mm screws per side; to access them, gently pull the plastic wing outwards, insert a screwdriver to hold it open, and unscrew with a 10 mm socket. Now, reach the top of the bumper, where there are two more 10 mm screws per side that need to be removed. The bumper is attached at the sides with hooks that fit into ball sockets: with one hand, pull the bumper outwards and with the other, pry from inside the wheel arch, pushing the hook outwards. There are 3 hooks per side. Now, only the fog lights are connected, and the connector is difficult to release; you need to rotate the entire light unit counterclockwise, as if it were a light bulb. Now the bumper is free.
