How to Check and Replace Spark Plugs

Model: Nissan Primera MK 3 - Years 2002-2008

This tutorial shows and explains how to replace the spark plugs on a Nissan Primera. Using a 10 mm hex socket, unscrew the bolt securing the coil. Pressing with two fingers on the connector, disconnect its electrical connection. Remove the coil. Using a special 16 mm spark plug socket attached to a bar, extract the spark plug by unscrewing it from its seat. Retrieve the old spark plug; install a new one by inserting it into the socket and screwing it into the well, turning the key clockwise. To check the correct positioning of the spark plug, use a special ratchet with the correct depth preset for the spark plug itself. Then, reposition the coil and secure it with its bolt; finally, restore the electrical connection.
