Nissan Almera - Video tutorial
Model: Nissan Almera
MK 2, N16
- Years 2000-2008 In this video tutorial we can see how to replace the timing belt of a Nissan Almera 1.5 DCI. We need a kit with water pump mod. CT1035 WP2 and specific tools (TOOL BOX V02). Remove the engine mount, belt cover and crankshaft pulley. With regard to the crankshaft pulleys, immediately reassemble the screw with the spacer, so it will be possible to turn the engine. For the timing there are two markings, at about eight o'clock we have a plug to insert, while on the side of the oil filter, there is a small screw to unscrew, to then insert a stop (a pin). To adjust the top dead centre, the engine must be turned slowly, until just before the top dead centre; we first screw in the tool for the crankshaft and then turn the shaft up to the tool; now the second plug can be inserted at the top. Engine and timing are now adjusted.
