This guide shows how to replace the fuel pump on a Nissan Sunny N17. The first step is to lift the rear seat to access the fuel pump inspection cover. Remove the three bolts from the cover and disconnect the electrical connector and fuel lines. Clean the area of any debris and unscrew the pump retaining ring. Carefully pull out the fuel pump, being mindful of any fuel that may spill. Install the new pump and tighten the retaining ring. Reattach the fuel lines and the electrical connector. Start the engine a few times to fill the fuel pump.
