How to Remove the Airbag from the Steering Wheel of the Nissan Sunny N17

This guide shows how to remove the airbag located on the steering wheel of the Nissan Sunny N17. The procedure requires two flathead screwdrivers or two pins that can fit into the two holes on the side of the steering wheel assembly. By inserting the pins into the holes, you can activate the two locking levers that secure the airbag module to the steering wheel. At this point, applying some force allows you to extract the airbag module; be careful of the electrical wires during the extraction. Disconnect the electrical connectors to complete the removal. To install the piece, simply connect the control wires and push the airbag module into the locked position.
