How to Replace the Oil Filter and Engine Oil in a Nissan Armada

Model: Nissan Armada Ta60 - Years 2004-2015

To perform this job, you will need: seven quarts of oil (SAE 5W-30), an oil filter (3323) by BOSCH, a 3/8 ratchet, a couple of three-inch extensions, a six-inch extension, a 14 mm socket, a 10 mm socket, and a special tool to remove the filter. Remove the oil cap to facilitate draining the oil; lift the vehicle with a jack or place it in a pit. Once the vehicle is raised, remove the skid plate by unscrewing the bolts using the 10 mm socket. After removing the skid plate, you can unscrew the oil filter with the special tool. Place a container underneath to catch the oil that spills out and remove the filter. Lubricate the o-ring of the new oil filter and screw it in place (first by hand and then with the filter wrench). Position a container for collecting the used oil and unscrew the oil drain plug, then wait for all the oil to drain. Place a new gasket on the drain plug and screw it in place without over-tightening. Reinstall the skid plate, lower the vehicle, and top off with new engine oil. Using a funnel, initially add about 5 quarts of oil, then start the engine for about 5 minutes to circulate the oil in the engine system, and then add the remaining oil (check the level with the dipstick).
