To keep the engine running efficiently and to keep fuel consumption low in the Nissan Qashqai, it is good practice to replace the air filter according to the maintenance schedule provided by the manufacturer. To do this, open the hood of the engine compartment, locate the filter on the driver's side, next to the battery. Release the metal clips that secure the cover and remove the drawer that contains the old filter. Replace it with a new filter element and before inserting it into the box, clean the interior with a vacuum cleaner. Once everything is back in place, secure the cover with the clips.
