Replacing the Rear Brake Pads

Model: Nissan Pathfinder MK 3, R51 - Years 2005-2012

First, loosen the wheel nuts, then lift the vehicle and secure it. Remove the wheel and carefully detach the caliper by removing the two retaining bolts. Take off the caliper support bracket using a ratchet spanner to unscrew the two rear bolts and set it aside. Remove the old pads and realign the piston. Clean the support thoroughly with a deoxidising spray. Refit the bracket, cleaning and lubricating the fixing bolts, then tighten them using a torque wrench. Refit the caliper pads, ensuring the correct orientation. Check the fit of the new pads against the disc and reattach the wheel.
