Replacing the Rear Brake Pads

First, loosen the wheel nuts, then lift the vehicle and secure it. Remove the wheel and carefully detach the caliper by removing the two retaining bolts. Take off the caliper support bracket using a ratchet spanner to unscrew the two rear bolts and set it aside.

Remove the old pads and realign the piston. Clean the support thoroughly with a deoxidising spray.

Refit the bracket, cleaning and lubricating the fixing bolts, then tighten them using a torque wrench. Refit the caliper pads, ensuring the correct orientation.

Check the fit of the new pads against the disc and reattach the wheel.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
