Replacing Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Nissan Qashqai J10 - Years 2006-2014

To replace the front shock absorbers, lift the vehicle on a ramp, remove the front wheel, disconnect the link from the bracket on the shock absorber, the cable guides, and unscrew the bolts that secure it to the hub support; once the lower part of the shock absorber is free, lower the vehicle and remove the plastic grille under the windscreen (you will need to remove the wiper blades) to access the strut tops and complete the disassembly; at this point, apply the appropriate clamp to the spring to compress it and remove the support from the shaft; then fit the spring and support to the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation on the vehicle.
