How to Replace the EGR Valve on an Opel Astra

In this video, learn how to dismantle and clean an EGR valve on an Opel Astra. Lift the bonnet and secure it. Then, using a socket spanner, unscrew the battery securing pins and remove the battery from the engine bay. Start by unscrewing the securing pins of the EGR valve as shown in the video. Once the piece is removed from its seat, use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws on it. Begin cleaning the valve with a suitable cleaning product for mechanical parts, using a brush to assist. Once the piece is restored, reassemble the parts together. Finally, refit the EGR valve in the engine bay after cleaning it of any dirt and deposits. - Socket spanner with sockets - Fixed or interchangeable screwdriver - Small brush.
