How to replace the battery of an Opel Insignia key?
Model: Vauxhall Insigna
Insigna A, MK 1

To replace the battery of an Opel Insignia key, start by pressing the small button on the key to release the mechanical key. Once removed, you will notice a groove along the edge of the key where you can insert a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic tool. Insert the tool into this groove and gently pry open the key shell, separating it into two parts. After opening the key, you will see the battery positioned inside. It is usually a CR2032 battery. Carefully remove the old battery, being careful not to damage the metal contacts. Insert the new battery into the same slot, making sure the positive side (+) is facing upwards. Once the new battery is inserted, carefully close the key, joining the two parts and pressing until you hear a click confirming that the shell is securely closed. Finally, reinsert the mechanical key and check that the remote control functions correctly by testing the opening and closing of the doors and other functions associated with the key.
