The battery of an Opel Astra is located in the engine compartment, positioned in the front of the vehicle, near the windshield, generally on the passenger side. To reach it, you need to open the vehicle's hood using the release lever located inside the cabin, usually near the clutch pedal or on the driver's side.

Once the hood is open, you can easily locate the battery inside the engine compartment. The battery is housed in a specific support and may be covered by a plastic protection to prevent damage or dirt.

To fully access the battery and work on it, such as for a replacement or inspection, it may be necessary to remove this protective cover. When working on the battery, it is always advisable to be careful with the electrical connections and disconnect the negative terminal to avoid short circuits.
