How to remove the battery of the Opel Insignia

Model: Vauxhall Insigna Insigna A, MK 1 - Years 2008-2017

In this video, we will see how to change the battery of the Opel Insigna: we open the engine compartment and find the battery on the right side of the compartment (looking at the car from the front): it is located under a black plastic cover, which we will need to remove. The battery is secured in place by a metal plate, which we will need to unscrew and remove. After doing this operation, we will need to disconnect the negative terminal (the one with the black cable) and move it as far away from the battery as possible. The positive terminal (the one with the red cable) has a box with high-power fuses integrated; we will need to remove the contact leading to the fuse box, and then disconnect the positive terminal. We can now remove the battery.
