How to reset the service light on the Opel Astra L.

On your Opel Astra L, resetting the Service light is done from the instrument panel using the control on the onboard computer lever. Before you begin, make sure the car is parked safely and that you're working with just the ignition on, without starting the engine: usually, it's enough to turn on the ignition without pressing the brake pedal. With the ignition on, navigate to the maintenance screen until the reset request appears. At this point, use the button on the control lever and hold it down to start the reset; when the system asks for confirmation, confirm using the same control and wait for it to complete. Once finished, check that the Service reminder no longer appears and that the screen returns to normal display. The reset is only meant to clear the reminder and does not resolve any faults or warning lights. It is advisable to perform it only after the actual service has been done, and if there are multiple items displayed (such as oil maintenance and inspection), select and reset only the correct one.
