This tutorial shows the procedure for changing the engine oil and filter on an Opel Corsa. First, the brand and type of oil that will be used is shown (a 4-liter drum of Petronas Sinthium 1000). With an Allen key, unscrew the cap of the sump located under the car and collect the old oil in a tray. In the meantime, unscrew and thoroughly clean the cap on the top of the cup. Using both hands also unscrew the filter cap and remove it. Remove its old gasket and clean the cap well with a rag. Now take the new filter and hook it to the cap; insert the new rubber gasket on the filter cap (it is almost always supplied with the new filter). Grease the thread of the cap and the end of the filter with a little oil and insert it into its housing. Screw it tight. Once the old oil has completely gushed out, refit the cap located under the sump and tighten it with the Allen key. Proceed, using a funnel, to pour in the new oil. Finish by checking that the oil level is within the range of the appropriate dipstick.
