Vauxhall Astra - Video tutorial

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra F - Years 1991-1998
Part: Glow plugs
Operation: Glow plug replacement instructions

Open the front hood and intercept the glow plugs: they are located in the front part of the engine connected in parallel by a metal frame; then disassemble the connecting element of the glow plugs and check the resistance value of the glow plugs using the ohmmeter (commonly known as a tester): if a glow plug gives an open circuit then it means that it is damaged. Or, in a more empirical way, take a piece of electric cable, place one end on the glow plug and with the other touch the positive pole of the battery: if it sparks, the spark plug is good. Once the faulty glow plugs have been identified, unscrew them and replace them with the new ones; then reconnect them in parallel.

How to reset the Renault Master AdBlue warning light

If when you turn on the ignition you see a strange warning relating to AdBlue, do not worry because it is nothing serious. Everything is solved in a few minutes and with a very low cost. In fact, it is a particular additive used in Diesel engines to reduce the environmental impact. Before continuing with the various steps it is therefore necessary to purchase a tank of AdBlue. Furthermore, all the various operations must be carried out with the engine off. The AdBlue tank is located on the passenger side, between the door and the tailgate. Unscrew the blue cap present and pour in the new AdBlue with the help of a rubber hose or an appropriate funnel. Once this is done, you can close the tank and the flap. Switch on the ignition again and the warning light has disappeared.
