Replacing the Key Battery or Shell on Opel Insignia

Model: Vauxhall Insigna MK 2, Insigna B - Years 2017-2026

Using the dedicated button on the back of the cover, extract the manual spare key from the shell (needed to access the vehicle when the battery is flat). Now, using any cutting tool (the video shows the same key, but I recommend a small flat screwdriver), lever in the central slot of the remote, opening it in two halves. At this point, if your goal is to replace the battery, simply remove it and replace it. If you want to replace the shell, you need to extract the entire internal part of the remote and transfer it into a new shell that you have purchased.
