Replacing Brake Pads on Opel Astra J

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016

To replace the front brake pads, first remove the wheel by unscrewing the bolts and lifting the car with a jack. Spray some WD-40 on the two 10 mm bolts that secure the caliper to the brake disc, then unscrew them. Remove the caliper and rest it on the disc, then extract the now free brake pads. While you're at it, you can also remove the brake pad carrier and the brake disc, cleaning them with a brush or replacing the disc itself. If you only want to change the pads, simply reverse the steps for reassembly.
