To replace the timing belt on the Opel Astra J 1.7 CDTI, you must remove the front right wheel and the corresponding wheel arch cover to access the pulley located at the bottom of the engine. This should be loosened by unscrewing the nut that secures its central pin; then, access the engine bay to remove the nuts securing the other pulleys, particularly the tensioner roller. By loosening them, the tension on the belt will be reduced, allowing it to be slipped off for replacement with a new spare part.
