How to Reset the Oil Light on the Opel Astra

Resetting the oil light is a standard procedure that should be performed after every oil change, and this obviously applies to your Opel Astra J as well. First, insert the key and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Next, locate the "Menu" button on the left stalk of the steering wheel and press it multiple times until you see the "Oil life remaining" message on the dashboard display. At this point, press and hold the "Set/Clr" button for a few seconds, and once the reset is complete, release it. Turn off the ignition and you're done.
