Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement

Before proceeding with the installation of the cylinder head, it is always advisable to check for any warping caused by overheating and to verify the flatness of the surface using a straight edge and a feeler gauge for valves; this check should also be repeated on the cylinder block. Clean the threads of the cylinder head mounting holes with a tap, ensuring not to let any debris fall into the cylinders; then apply the locating dowels, the new gasket, and the cylinder head; use a new set of bolts for fastening, which should be done following a cross-tightening pattern using a torque wrench and a graduated wrench.
