Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement

When replacing the cylinder head gasket, first ensure the flatness of the surface, even after machining, using a straight edge and a feeler gauge; the same check should be repeated on the cylinder block; then re-tap the threads of the cylinder head fixing holes with the correct diameter and pitch tap, taking care not to let shavings fall into the cylinders; check the interference of the pistons on the block to exclude knocks after fitting the head and proceed with the application of the new gasket; then place the head and use a new set of bolts for fixing, which should be tightened according to a cross pattern, using both a torque wrench and a calibrated wrench.

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after.
