If there are problems with the engine temperature, it is necessary to replace the cylinder head gasket: this operation requires the disassembly of many elements of the engine and during the reassembly phase it is advisable to replace the entire series of gaskets. Start by checking the flatness of the cylinder head surface using a ground bar and a thickness gauge for valves; repeat the operation on the cylinder base; rework the threads of the head fixing holes using a tap with the correct pitch; check the interference of the pistons to exclude knocks during combustion; apply the centering bushings, the new cylinder head gasket and the cylinder head itself; use a new set of pins for fastening by applying grease to the branch at the bottom of the thread and under the head and use both the torque wrench and the graduated wrench to tighten the pins following a crossed pattern; install new gaskets on the turbine by filling it with clean oil before connecting the lubrication duct and attaching it to the exhaust manifold by installing it on the cylinder head with a new gasket; apply new oil seals to the camshafts and a new gasket to the tappet cover and finally install the timing belt.
