Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement

If you have issues with engine temperature, you need to replace the cylinder head gasket. This task requires disassembling many engine components, and during reassembly, it is advisable to replace all gaskets. Start by checking the flatness of the cylinder head surface using a straight edge and a feeler gauge; repeat the process on the cylinder block; re-tap the threads of the head mounting holes using the correct pitch tap; check piston clearance to avoid knocking during combustion; apply the locating dowels, the new head gasket, and the cylinder head itself; use a new set of bolts for fastening, applying grease to the threads and under the head, and use both a torque wrench and a standard wrench to tighten the bolts in a cross pattern; install new gaskets on the turbocharger, filling it with clean oil before connecting the lubrication pipe and securing it to the exhaust manifold with a new gasket; apply new oil seals to the camshafts and a new gasket to the rocker cover, and finally install the timing belt.
