In this tutorial, see how to replace the glow plugs in the Opel Astra, a task that requires good manual skills. First, unscrew the lower fixing bolts of the manifold, then remove the engine cover, disassemble the turbo cover, and disconnect both the air duct and the particulate filter. Now that you have created enough space, unscrew the first glow plug using a long 9mm flexible socket, avoiding excessive force. If necessary, apply some penetrating spray or grease to the threads. Once the replacement is inserted, repeat the process for the remaining glow plugs and follow the reverse procedure to reassemble everything.
