Insert the key and turn on the ignition (without starting the engine). Wait a moment for the display to show a message: ECN 7506, while the engine light flashes.

The message then changes to ECN 0000, indicating that no issues were detected in the ECU. You can turn off the ignition; your inspection has concluded with the desired outcome of no faults. No reader was needed to check for errors in the ECU.
