Replacing the Timing Chain on an Opel Agila

When performing a complete overhaul of an engine, including disassembly, valve seat machining, and cylinder head skimming, all gaskets, oil seals, bearings, piston rings, and of course, a new timing chain, along with the associated guides and oil pump gears, must be replaced during assembly. It is absolutely crucial to align and maintain the timing references during the installation of the timing chain. After installation, rotate the crankshaft twice to ensure there are no contacts.
