To reset the service light on an Opel Meriva, start by checking that all the car doors are properly closed. Press the button next to the odometer until the trip mileage appears, then hold down the button near the odometer while simultaneously turning on the instrument panel without starting the engine.

The message "insp" will flash, followed by a flashing message with dashes, and then the message "insp xxxxx km" will appear, indicating that the service has been reset. You can then release the button near the odometer and turn off the instrument panel.

Finally, you can turn the instrument panel back on to verify that the message has been correctly reset.
