When the oil warning light illuminates on a 2005 Opel Astra model G, it indicates that the engine oil needs to be replaced and the warning light must be reset. To reset the light, first turn on the vehicle's ignition.

Then, press and hold the brake pedal until the reset is complete. At the same time, press and hold the button on the instrument panel until the reset is finished.
