The service light activates on an Opel Astra model H vehicle when it is necessary to perform a car service. The service consists of various operations related to the inspection and maintenance of the vehicle such as replacing the engine oil and oil filter.

When the kilometers marked on the vehicle's onboard computer are reached, the light activates; we perform the service operations and then conclude with resetting the light, updating the kilometers to the next car service. To reset the light, we must turn on the instrument panel and press the TRIP A button to set the next kilometers.
