How to Clean the EGR Valve of an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016

To perform this operation, you will need to unclip and lift the bonnet to locate the relevant valve. By unscrewing the bolts, you can remove it and begin the cleaning process. Use a wire brush specifically designed for cleaning metals to clean both the inlet and outlet sides. You can also clean the pipes connected to the valve. After that, use a pressure washer for a thorough clean. Once you are satisfied with the cleaning, you can refit the valve.
