In this video we can see how to replace the rear shock absorber of a Peugeot 208: we lift the car and remove the wheel from the side where we intend to replace the shock absorber, then we remove the wheel arch cover and the protective cover of the rear axle, then support the shock absorber beam with a jack. Clean the component with a wire brush and WD-40, then remove the fixing bolt and remove the shock absorber. Clean the seats and then place the new piece, which can be easily found on e-commerce sites, even used at affordable prices. Install the fixing bolts, remove the jack and reassemble the lower protection, then the wheel arch cover, then the wheel and finally we can lower the car.
