How to reset the service light of the Peugeot 508 from the instrument panel.

To reset the maintenance warning on the Peugeot 508, you intervene directly on the instrument panel using the trip odometer reset button. With the car stationary and the engine off, turn the key to the "on" position: the central display will show the maintenance message with a wrench icon and the kilometers overdue or due for the service. At this point, locate the small button marked "000" below the display, the same one used to reset the trip odometer. Turn the ignition off again, then firmly press and hold the "000" button, and without releasing it, turn the key to the "on" position. The wrench icon will appear on the display and a countdown will start (10, 9, 8, 7, etc.): it is important to continue holding the button until the countdown reaches zero. At the end of the countdown, the maintenance message will disappear, and a confirmation of the service interval reset will be displayed. At this point, you can release the button, turn off the ignition, and turn it back on to check: the warning should no longer appear, and the maintenance counter should be reset to the initial value set by the manufacturer. This way, the service reset of the Peugeot 508 is correctly performed after the service without the need for diagnostic tools.
