When it fails, the typical symptom is that the fan stops working or only operates at maximum speed (because the power bypasses the faulty resistor). The failure often causes overheating and melting of the connector plug, exactly as shown in the video. The solution is to replace the faulty resistor. The original part code is: 1610497380, and repair or replace the melted plug and connector to avoid future risks of short circuit or fire. The replacement requires removing the panels under the steering wheel to access the component located near the accelerator pedal.
