A common fault on the Peugeot Partner: breaking of the fuel filter retaining clips

Video tutorial

A common fault on the Peugeot Partner 1.6 HDI involves the fuel filter retaining clips. During maintenance, these plastic clips can easily break as they become brittle over time and due to the heat in the engine compartment.

The issue is that when purchased from the dealer, they are often only available with the entire fuel wiring, at a significant cost. The most economical and practical solution, shown in the video, is to use Ford fuel retaining clips, which are identical to those from PSA and fit perfectly.

Searching online (eBay, Amazon) with terms like "Ford fuel line retaining clips 5/16" (8mm)" or "Fuel Line Connector Replacement Clips" will yield packages of 10 pieces for a few pounds. The equivalent Ford code is 7L3Z9S317A. Therefore, it is not a CANBUS issue (electronic error), but purely a mechanical breakage of the clip.

If the clip does not seal properly, it can cause a drop in fuel pressure, which the ECU may interpret as an error.

How to Open a Stuck Trunk on a Mercedes C-Class W205

Like all modern vehicles, the Mercedes C-Class has the option to open the trunk from the inside. If the trunk does not open from the outside, you can enter the vehicle and, by pressing the button located on the top of the backrest, fold down the center seat. From here, you can lower the other two seatbacks to create a flat surface, allowing you to slide down to the internal trunk lock. Here, you will see a black handle that, when lifted, will give you access to a strap. Pulling the strap will allow you to reach the lever of the internal mechanism. Simply lift it to allow the trunk to open.
