The thermostat regulates the car's temperature; if the temperature rises or falls too quickly, it means the thermostat is broken and needs replacing. First, obtain the replacement part.

Ensure the engine is off to avoid burns, then remove the radiator cap, collecting all the coolant in a suitable container. Once the hose is removed, you can locate the thermostat and disconnect the hoses and screws that connect it to the engine.

After removal, proceed to insert the new one.
