Start by extracting the metal key (since this is a keyless remote) using a pointed object, such as a screwdriver. Now remove the plastic cover that conceals the battery. Take out the battery and replace it with a new one of the same type, a CR 2032 3V. Reassemble the remote and test if it works correctly.
