Did the brake wear warning light come on in the dashboard? Don't wait, for your safety it's time to replace the brake pads. Once the car is raised on the side where we intend to replace the pads, we remove the wheel, take a 13 mm angled socket wrench, and unscrew the bolts in the rear part of the brake caliper as shown in the video. We unscrew the cap of the brake oil tank, then returning to the caliper, with a screwdriver we press to let the piston in, and once the caliper is free, we extract it, detach the pads with the help of a screwdriver and remove them. Before installing the new pads we replace the clips of each single pad, then with the help of 2 screwdrivers we make the piston go all the way back into its seat. In the video we are advised to grind the outer corner of the new pads to compensate for the wear of the discs. We install the new pads in their housing, disassemble the caliper and reopen the previously unscrewed bolts. After replacing all 4 pads of the front axle, we give a few pumps with the brake pedal to restore the pressure in the circuit, check the brake oil level (if it is insufficient, top it up) and re-screw the relative cap.
