Brake Pad Replacement

Has the brake wear light come on in the dashboard? Don’t wait, for your safety it’s time to replace the brake pads.
Once the car is lifted on the side where you intend to replace the pads, remove the wheel, take a 13 mm socket wrench, and unscrew the bolts at the back of the brake caliper as shown in the video.
Unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, then return to the caliper, use a screwdriver to push in the piston, and once the caliper is free, remove it, detach the pads with the help of a screwdriver, and take them out.
Before installing the new pads, replace the clips on each pad, then using two screwdrivers, push the piston back into its housing.
The video recommends grinding the outer edge of the new pads to compensate for the wear on the discs.
Install the new pads in their housing, refit the caliper, and re-tighten the previously removed bolts.
After replacing all four pads on the front axle, pump the brake pedal a few times to restore pressure in the circuit, check the brake fluid level (if it’s low, top it up), and re-screw the cap.
