Instructions for Removing the Front Shock Absorber

Model: Peugeot 106 MK 1 - Years 1991-2004

To remove the front shock absorber, lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift, remove the front wheel, free the hub from the suspension wishbone ball joint and the steering rack tie rod. Then, remove the brake caliper along with its bracket, extract the driveshaft from the hub, and disconnect the strut bar to completely free the hub support to which the shock absorber is attached. Finally, access the engine bay to remove the mounting bolts of the shock absorber support from the body strut tower and complete the disassembly: the shock absorber will come out along with the hub support and the brake disc.
