Rear Shock Absorber Replacement

To replace the shock absorber, lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and, if necessary, support the rear wheel during disassembly to prevent the weight of the suspension from bearing down on itself, making removal easier. Place a jack under the wheel and proceed to remove the fastening bolts of the shock absorber from the stabiliser bar and then from the suspension mount. Slide the bolts out of their seats and remove the old shock absorber, then install the new one, tightening the respective fastening bolts. It is always advisable to replace both shock absorbers rather than just one to ensure greater uniformity of operation.
