Operation: How does the speed regulator and limiter work on Peugeot and Citroen cars?

In this video, we see how the speed regulator/limiter works on PSA group cars: we need to act on the lever located on the left side of the steering wheel. On this lever, there are a button at the top and one at the bottom, a tip to press, and a section that moves to select the function we are looking for. On the back of the lever, there are two notches from which we can control the functions of the buttons. Let's now select the speed limiter: the corresponding symbol will appear on the display. To set the speed, I have to go back to the button on the top of the lever, and the symbol on the dashboard has turned amber, indicating that it has become active. I can increase or decrease the speed limit by using the buttons on the back of the lever; the car will not exceed that threshold even if I accelerate, unless there is an emergency situation where the acceleration is very strong: this cancels the limiter. Now let's move the selector to Cruise Control, and the corresponding symbol will appear on the display, which will only start working with the vehicle in third gear or higher. It is adjusted using the buttons on the back of the lever. If we need to brake and then want to return to the cruise speed, we just need to press the button on the top of the lever. We can adjust the speed from behind the lever, without touching the accelerator.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
