Follow these simple steps to disable the ESP system on a Peugeot 208, as well as on most models from the manufacturer. First, get in the vehicle and start the engine; the ESP system is always active when the engine is first started, even if it is disabled later.

To disable or enable it, press the appropriate button found on the dashboard; when the button light is on, it means the ESP system is temporarily disabled (the warning will still appear on the instrument panel display).
