How to Perform a Full Service on a Peugeot 508

In this video, you will see how to perform a full service on a Peugeot 508: start with the pollen filter, located behind the footwell panel of the driver. Remove the screw holding the cover, then take off the protection under the lower part of the dashboard: also remove the lower part under the steering wheel; from here, reach in and remove the cover that conceals the filter: take it out, clean the area of dust and debris, and replace the filter.

Refit the cover and close all the panels you have removed. Now, it’s time for the air filter.

Open the bonnet and remove the four screws securing the cover; replace the filter and close the cover (after cleaning the area, of course). Now, it’s time for the fuel filter.

Using a small screwdriver, open the cover by removing the electrical connector; unscrew the four screws, change the gasket, and fit the new filter. Reposition it, screw the screws back in, and reconnect the connector.

Open the oil filler cap, change the filter, and of course, the gasket of the cap as well. Then, drain the used oil into a container (which you will dispose of properly at an authorised centre).

You can now add the new oil. Now reset the indicators: press the "000" button on the instrument cluster and then start the vehicle. A countdown will begin during which you must continue to hold the button.

Then press the "check" button and the interval for the next service will appear.
