How to replace the front brake rotor on a Porsche 911? Let's go through the disassembly of the parts. Position your car on a column lift; raise it to a comfortable height for working on the vehicle. Remove the wheel bolts with a socket wrench (air impact wrench) and take off the wheel. Next, start removing the bolts from the brake caliper to detach it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to remove the brake pads. Take off the caliper bracket and proceed to remove the bolts from the brake rotor (Torx screwdriver), pulling the rotor towards you with your hands. Install the new brake rotor with all the associated bolts, tighten the caliper bracket to the rotor and the brake pads, then, mount the brake caliper, making sure to tighten all the bolts securely.
