Removing the Odometer from a Porsche 911

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005

Let's see how to remove the instrument cluster from a Porsche 911. Remove the triangle button frame, then unscrew the screws located in the plastic trim of the instrument cluster. Pull the piece away from the dashboard and disconnect the power cable located at the back of the instrument cluster. Separate the instrument cluster from the protective cover. Install a new piece or replace the LEDs/bulbs in the cluster and reassemble the original. Secure the leather cover with the instrument cluster attached to it: connect the power and tighten the screws.
