Operation: Replace the air filter on the Porsche 997

Changing the air filter in the Porsche 997 is an operation that is done every 20,000 kilometers or so and it greatly helps the proper functioning of our engine. You need common tools, T25, T20 wrenches and of course the replacement filter, which you can find without problems on the major e-commerce platforms from 120 euros and up. The first thing to do is to disconnect the solenoid valve by pressing the gray button. We then remove the hose that is on top of the box. Now with the 25 mm wrench we remove the nuts of the protection box; be careful that they do not fall into the engine when you remove them. Once the lid is removed we find the two filters, which are very dirty. We remove them with the 20 mm wrench, in a very simple way. Once the filters have been removed, we clean the base and only then install the new ones. Put the cover back in place, reconnect the hose and reconnect the solenoid valve. Job finished.
